About Us

Who are we? Well, we provide the finest dive training available, maintain the strictest quality standards in the industry, and have an unshakeable commitment to our students. Add to that the excitement and fun we bring to scuba training, and you will get a sense of what we’re all about.

Our purpose is to train fellow explorers. We aim to be the standard of excellence for scuba instruction. Quality instruction is just the beginning of what we offer.

We believe that giving our students our best advice is more valuable than a sale. So we may send you to a competetor if they will serve your needs better than we can. We know who we are and we trust that you will come back.

We do not sell equipment we don't believe in, and we let quality sell itself. You will never feel any pressure to buy anything.

I have been diving since 2000 when I completed my Open Water Certification with my wife. I'm pretty sure my instructor was trying to kill us both. We were grossly overweighted and generally poorly taught.

Years later, I saw the same instructor dragging students to the bottom of Blue Hole in an essentially uncontrolled descent and I thought, "I can do better than that."

Today I teach a variety of basic and advanced courses with two objectives. The first objective is to train my students to be divers I'd want to dive with - If I wouldn't feel comfortable with you diving with one of my kids, I haven't done my job. The second objective is to give my students the best advice and guidance when it comes to classes and equipment. That means that I won't try to sell you equipment I wouldn't use myself, and I will try to talk you out of taking classes that will not benefit you. On the other hand, I will recommend classes that give you an advantage.

Hello my name is Rudy Martinez.

I've been teaching people to scuba dive for a little over two years, and I would love to teach you how to dive here in beautiful New Mexico.
