Computer Diver

The SDI Computer Diver Course is designed to expand a diver’s knowledge in using their personal dive computer (PDC). It is primarily intended for divers who are certified with agencies using traditional dive tables for planning, rather than PDCs throughout training.

What you can expect to learn

The SDI Computer Diver course takes an in-depth look at the differences between computers and tables, and the history of dive tables. We will discuss decompression models, decompression sickness, and how to effectively use your dive computer.

Some of the required skills you will have to demonstrate include:

Preparing suitable multi-level profiles.

Safely executing dives, monitoring depth, air supply, and safety stops.
