Frequently Asked Questions

New, unused items my be returned for a full refund. Used items may be eligible for a partial refund.

Possibly. As a general rule, once you’ve committed to a portion of your training, that is no longer eligible for a refund. For example, you start your learning and you are transferred across the country. You would be eligible for a refund of the course, except for the eLearning portion. If you had set up a pool session, you would no longer be eligible for a refund of the confined water portion of the course, but you would be eligible for a refund of the open water portion.

We have some rental gear, but most of our students will buy their own equipment. In the long run, buying equipment is the right decision.

Yes, but we are a small business, so we don’t have the ability to set up international shipping and rates on the website (It’s incredibly compliacted!). If you email us at international@vikingdives.com and tell us what you’d like to order and your shipping address, we will give you a quote.

For most recreational courses, we go to the lakes in Santa Rosa, NM. That usually means Blue Hole, but there are others.

Perch Lake has wrecks in it and is great for rescue classes.

Rock Lake is deep (really deep! 280 feet!) and you have to have an advanced certification to dive there. We do some recreational and technical training there when we need more depth than Blue Hole can provide.

Cenotes of Mexico. We take students to Mexico upon request. We can guide you on cenote dives while you do you training and we get a nice warm water environment!

The Sea of Cortez. It isn’t too far from Albuquerque, and there are a number of divable wrecks there. We can go here for Advanced Wreck training.

Florida. Another warm water training destination that’s fantastic for classes like Advanced Wreck!
