Child Emergency Care

Be ready if something happens to a child or baby in your care. The Child Emergency Care Course teaches you CPR, first aid, and AED use for infants and children.

Who this course is for:

Parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, babysitters, and anyone who looks after children.

Course prerequisites

• Minimum age 18, or 10 with parental consent

What you can expect to learn:

The Child Emergency Care Course takes an in-depth look at all of the following:

• Scene safety and calling EMS
• CPR for infants and children
• Choking
• Using an AED
• First aid for no breathing, bleeding, fractures, burns, bites, and blunt trauma
• Basic neurological assessment

What’s in it for you?

Certification is valid for two years.

Child Emergency Care minimum certification requirements:

• Demonstrate CPR on infant and child manikins
• Demonstrate AED use and first aid skills
• Pass the written examination
